A Semiconductor Chip Manufacturing Plant in Beijing


Founded in 2000, this enterprise operates chip foundries in Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin respectively. The Beijing-based foundry is primarily engaged in the contract manufacturing of 200 mm wafers, capable of producing chips with process nodes ranging from 0.35 μm to 0.13 μm.

Driven by the surging market demand and the rapid expansion of production line equipment, the reactive power demand of the plant’s power supply system has increased substantially. Therefore, it is imperative to install reactive power compensation equipment to improve the power factor, so as to enhance the utilization rate of distribution transformer capacity and reduce the apparent current.

Optimization Plan

A 102 - panel NCSD Tuned Filter is adopted to compensate the system power factor while effectively preventing the risk of harmonic resonance in the system.

  2. Effectively prevents the occurrence of system harmonic resonance
  3. Equipped with an automatic power factor controller, enabling step - by - step switching and adapting to the reactive power output required by the system

Optimization Result

After the NCSD system is put into operation, the measured data of the system main circuit before and after improvement are summarized in Table 1.
